Dynamic Analytic Psychotherapy

We will try to understand the roots of your current concerns by carefully considering the important inter-relationships between:

  • your personal history, your current approach to situations
  • your unconscious beliefs, attitudes, and concerns (as brought to light, for example, by your dreams or emotional reactions)
  • what we together observe about the nature of our interactions in psychotherapy or analysis, and what they reveal about you.

We will work together to generate hypotheses about what is happening and why you feel the way you do, and how you might best contend with your feelings in order to productively re-conceptualize and address your concerns.

  • This will allow you to learn to relate to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in new ways.
  • Involves meeting once or twice per week.
